I know I am a little bit late on the 2016 NBA Championship victory celebration for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but I wanted to give my 2 cents worth of opinions before it is forgotten. Game 7 was an absolute classic and it was exactly what an elimination game should be (especially for the NBA Championship). It was a very close game going back and forth where each play could be the one that provides a very slight advantage. Plus, you have two of the best players in the NBA (1 a 4-time MVP winner and the other a 2-time MVP winner) battling for a RING!!! WOW!!!
How awesome is it that the Cavs overcame a 3 to 1 deficit and won 2 huge games in Oakland (including the clincher)!!! And, the icing on the cake is the fact that LeBron had a triple double (hey, I am a statistician and numbers turn me on). One player on the Warriors was 1 assist shy of a triple double.
If I were a GM or an owner of a franchise (doesn’t matter where it would be), I would do anything to get LeBron James to join my ball club. He is by far the best player in the NBA.
The only thing that could’ve been better was if the SAN ANTONIO SPURS won the 2016 NBA Championship. Oh well…we always have “next year.” Since I am talking about the Spurs, please leave Tim and Manu alone as to whether or not they will stay or retire. Whatever they choose, I am sure RC, Pop, and company will be ready to rock and roll on.
