Last week, I watched a 30 for 30 ESPN Film called, “Small Potatoes: Who Killed the USFL?” I was interested in this film cause I knew that the San Antonio Gunslingers played in the USFL and I was hoping to see some shots of Alamo Stadium which I did (it was about 3 minutes of Gunslinger football or should I say Rick Neuheisal talking about the owner and chanting the Gunslinger song).
I have worked a lot High School football games as a stat man at Alamo Stadium and after the season ended last December, the stadium is finally getting some much needed and way overdue renovations. After watching that ESPN film, I really wanted to go to Alamo Stadium and take some pictures of the renovation. Well, this morning, I dragged my wife to Alamo Stadium and when I arrived…I was totally shocked!!! The press-box was gone!!! Wow. Take a look at the pictures I took: |
