On March 16th of this year, I dragged my wife to Alamo stadium cause I wanted to get some renovation photos. I was doing this for me cause it is a historic stadium and I have worked a lot of games there and for my readers who share my appreciation.
I totally didn’t expect that just 4 months later, I would get inside access to Alamo stadium and the convocation center with Brian Clancy, the Assistant Athletic Director with SAISD and my photos (yes folks, MY ALAMO STADIUM PHOTOS) would be featured on the SAISD athletic website and also the 2013 Texas HS Football Snapshot Soundtrack!!! WOW!!
My photos are more popular than my writings and you know something, I am OK with that cause it is great publicity for mdlblog.com.
I am aiming for another visit with Brian Clancy the week of August 26th. If that doesn’t happen, I will visit on my own on Sunday, September 1st. I will definitely get some new photos published on Labor Day or as I will be calling it, my wife’s birthday.
Last Saturday, August 10th, I got an email from the Executive Director of the SAISD Foundation. She saw a recent blog post of mine. They will be working with some of the items from the stadium to make them available to folks who cherish the place. She wants to visit with me so we can share ideas of who may be interested. How cool is that?

I can’t wait to meet her and I am going to offer my assistance to her, the foundation, and the school district.
I will keep you updated cause I for one would love to get my hands on something from the stadium.
