So, I was wrong about last night’s Spurs game. I really thought the Jazz were gonna win and come home as the Spurs luggage on the airplane; gosh, that would’ve been a super huge fee for the baggage! That’s why I am not a gambler in Vegas or a sports media personality with flashy and controversial opinions.
Yes, I am admitting it; I am wrong sometimes!!! A gambler or sports media personality would never say those words.
Don’t get me wrong; I am so happy the Spurs won! Man, those were 4 extremely hard fought games; I need some time off! It is great that no Spur got hurt and now they can rest at home and get ready for the next round and opponent!
I am glad not to see Al Jefferson, Derrick Favors, Devon Harris, and that ponytail dude (DeMarre Carroll) again till next season. It is hard for me to say those names. I mean, for most of my years as a basketball fan, it was Malone, Stockton, Hornacek, and Jerry Sloan! Do you remember when Karl Malone knocked out David Robinson with an elbow? I do!! Ouch!!
I knew the Jazz would fight to stay alive for 1 more game and have some runs, but dude, that 4th quarter run by them was pretty amazing; the Spurs looked really bad (starters and the bench), the Jazz fans were loud and on there feet, and the Jazz players couldn’t do anything wrong. I was like, come on Spurs, don’t blow a 21 point lead; just hang on for the victory. A huge sigh of relief came out of me when Tony intercepted a pass and threw to Manu for an easy layup with less than a minute remaining and the Jazz only down by a few points.
Hey, Manu finally scored some points and most came at pivotal points in the game.
Now comes the big question; Clippers or Grizzlies? I want the Grizzles; mainly for “revenge.” But, I don’t think the Grizzlies can win 3 games in a row against the Clippers. We are probably gonna see Blake Griffin and Chris Paul take on the Spurs. Wow, that will be a fun series. Oh, I can’t forget about to mention the Clips coach, Vinny Del Negro, a former Spur. He was number 15 before Matt Bonner.
I am picking the Spurs in 6 over the LA Clippers.
