san antonio spurs

Gosh, that sure was a wild and unexpected 7-game series against the Dallas Mavericks.  I didn’t expect a 23 point victory for the Spurs in Game 7!!!  I totally expected a back and forth game coming down to the last 5 minutes.

So, if we take the 23 point win in Game 7 and the 21 point loss in Game 2, just 18 points separated both teams in the 5 other games.  WOW!!!

I was really impressed with the Dallas Mavericks Vince Carter.  Dude, he played like he was 10 years younger than his NBA age of 37!!!   And, man, former Spur, DeJuan Blair, had his ups and downs and several hard fouls.

For the Spurs, we always have the BIG 3 in Tim, Tony, and Manu but I gotta give a lotta credit to Tiago Splitter, Boris Diaw, Patty Mills, and Danny Green!!!

I think it was unbelievable that the Western Conference had three Game 7’s and one Game 6!!!  Just goes to show how balanced the West is and also the fact the the West beats each other up.  Yeah, the Western Conference Playoff games are much more exciting than the East.

The San Antonio Spurs next opponent will be the Portland Trail Blazers who beat the Houston Rockets in 6 games primarily in large part due to LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard who combined to average 54 points, 17 rebounds, and 8 assists in those 6 games!!!  WOW!!!

I won’t make any predictions, but I kinda have a hunch that this series will be similar to the Mavs series…basically, several close games!
