spurs vs thunder — game 7

Did you see game 7 last night between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder?

Gosh, that reverse lay-up by Tony Parker (yeah, he played and looked very well) in the first quarter with Kevin Durant right his tail was awesome!!!

OMG, that dunk by Tim Duncan in the second quarter over Ibaka and Perkins was awesome!!!

Dude, that dribbling expedition put on by Manu Ginobili in the third quarter that broke Westbrook’s ankle was awesome!!!

Man, the fourth quarter was awesome!!!   It’s too bad that this game was just a figment of my wondeful imagination cause had what I wrote really happened, that would’ve been AWESOME!!!

Now for my reasoning behind this BLOG:

Did you ever see the Chris Farley Show sketch on Saturday Night Live? Rather than ask his guest questions that had any popular significance, or allow his guest to plug a current project, he would invariably act nervously, and simply describe scenes from a film in which the guest actor appeared (or occasionally films that had nothing to do with the guest). After asking the performer whether he remembered this particular event, Farley would relate, “That was awesome.” Other times, he would ask questions that were of little relevance, or made no sense at all. Invariably, he would say something he regretted and would smack his head and call himself an idiot. The skit accentuated Farley’s shyness for comic effect. Thanks Wiki!!!

There is a wonderful book that I read about Chris Farley and if you are a fan of his like I was and am, YOU MUST READ IT!!  It is awesome!!!  It is called, The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts by Tom Farley (one of his brothers) and Tanner Colby.  It is first hand stories about Chris as told by family members, friends, and fellow comedians.  I didn’t cry at the end, but came very close.

If I had more time on my hand, I would’ve made-up an entire game with stats!!!  Oh well, I guess it is better that I didn’t do that.
